Care was excellent by all staff both in A&E dept and KW boy 3 In A&E dept - one patient would have been better suited to Abolm Cowby unit- threw water at staff member, pulling serious down in my direction - It a danger to themselves or others, need calming and psychiatrist i believe.
The nursing and care staff can not be faulted! They are friendly, caring and so helpful. They are all hard working and dedicated.
The ward is very busy and they remain patient. I would recommend staffing gets re-looked the word would benefit from additional staff when so busy.
The staff have been efficient and very positive. At all times I was confident that I was being well cared for.
Thank you all very much.
Responsive, felt listened too, and progressed investigations with ngour.
Re improvements.
1. Their were patients with SEMH needs who did not have their privacy and dignity kept – for such delicate and private matters can a quiet room be used.
2. Consistency of visiting times – visitors allowed to stay tell 10 pm - i.e. others were trying to sleep yet my partner was asked to leave – not enough consistency.
3. Staffing was some times too low, but everyone did the best they could.
Wonderful care by lovely staff.
Thank you.
The communication was very good between all the day and night nurses. I felt a little bit lost sometimes with lack of information on where I stood a what was happening, things always took a while.
General overall care was good more experienced nurses who can action more to save up time to doctors or sisters/matron.
Constantly checked on and asked if you're okay friendly staff, clean room and bedding nice worm word.
Only downside is menu for food no vegan options (Minimal issue)
